CYM WATCH -- E. BENSON: WHERE HE KEEPS TURNING UP
 ==========================================================
 Class: WATCH -- STRICTLY PRIVATE
 From: Monitoring Desk
 To: File

A list kept because the length of it is the point. Every
place the name has surfaced, and what came of each:

2013 Named continuity lead for a purchase CYM has
          not made yet. ([MAISON-APPROACH.TXT])
2011 The week our one approach was blown. On site.
          Unproved. ([APPROACH-2011-CLOSED.TXT])
2013 A CV in our OWN recruitment pile. No requisition,
no referral recorded, no action. ([CV-BENSON.HTM])
2013 His stamp on our OWN Project KIKU minutes -- a CYM
systems man on the record of the Partner's synthetic-
          diligence meetings. Nobody invited him.
          ([TECHNICAL-EXCHANGE.TXT])
---- Retraction / annotation behaviour on the legacy
estate that reads like his hand. Resemblance only.
---- And smaller strays not worth their own line: a name
on a visitor sheet that should not carry it; a query
run against a record no outsider should know to ask.

None of it closes. Each item alone is nothing -- a
coincidence, a clerical stray, a resemblance. It is the
column that unsettles, not any entry in it. A man is either
everywhere in your files by accident, or he is very good.
We cannot tell which, and he has given us no way to.
