 On record so that it is not repeated. In 2011 a single,
 deniable overture was made to CYM through an intermediary,
 to test whether the house would sell or partner.

 OUTCOME
   The intermediary was received politely, given tea, told
   nothing, and not received again. Within the week two
   observation points went cold; a third was quietly fed a
   fortnight of plausible nonsense before we noticed. CYM had
   not been surprised by the approach. CYM had been waiting
   for it.

 We learned one thing only: they knew we were watching before
 we asked. Who told them, we could not establish -- though the
 CYM man with the counter-intelligence past ([CONTRACTOR-BENSON.TXT])
 had been on site that week, and a man trained to notice does
 not wait to be told. Nothing provable. Nothing ever is, with
 him. We have not approached since -- hence the standing
 instruction in [ACQUISITION-APPRAISAL.TXT]: do not approach.
