#53 ON HOLD fault

Library paper flagged for managed retraction — route to the disclosure-control queue

Reported by: People & Places Owned by: unassigned

Component: SOMA / Disclosure Control Version:

Description

A preprint has surfaced on the Halstead Open Repository under a cover byline ('L. Merrow, independent') that traces to no author on file. It makes sweeping, easily-falsifiable claims about body-area coupling in municipal lighting and is beginning to attract outside attention. Per standing policy (see the Disclosure-Control notice), controversial externally-visible findings of this kind are not answered directly: they are flagged for managed retraction and routed to the disclosure-control queue, where a coordinated public correction discredits the claim and the wider subject with it. Ticket parked against that queue pending the desk's action. Do NOT engage or acknowledge the paper directly.

Logged. Cover byline, no traceable author, overstated claims — textbook for the managed-retraction route. Do not engage it in the open; queue it and let the correction do the work. Owner to be assigned off-record as usual.

So we route a paper nobody here will admit writing into a queue nobody's name is on, to be retracted by a desk that doesn't sign anything. Understood. Not touching it.

Still queued, still unassigned, desk unnamed. Retraction never actioned on this abandoned box. Left on hold.
