Back from the supplier visit in Poole. For anyone booked in at the same
hotel next month, a few things:

  • The "sea view" is of the car park of a building that faces the sea.
  • Breakfast finishes at 08:30 sharp and they mean it.
  • The Wi-Fi is £12 a night and doesn't reach the second floor.
  • The room safe was locked when I arrived and nobody had the code.


The visit itself was fine.

+1. Also the fire alarm went off at 02:10 on the Tuesday and we all stood
in the car park for forty minutes. Bob was the only one who came down
fully dressed, with his laptop bag.

I'd like to see the rest of you explain to Graf that the company laptop
got left in a burning hotel.

It wasn't burning. It was the toaster.
